The World Bee Project
The World Bee Project CIC is the first private initiative in the world that remotely monitors bees to research the pollinator and pollination crisis from a global perspective. It supports, connects and amplifies new technologies and scientific study to improve the health and wellbeing of bees and other pollinators. The innovation can play a significant role in helping to mitigate the threats to food security and biodiversity and create predictive models to ameliorate potential future stresses.
The World Bee Project is developing data driven innovative solutions that address pollinator health challenges in cities as well as in smallholder farms and agriculture and food supply chains. Intensive farming, harmful pesticides, overpopulation, urban sprawl, loss of floral habitats, deforestation and climate change are all placing devastating pressures on pollinators. The World Bee Project addresses the need to improve understanding of the varying pressures on bees in different regions of the world.
The World Bee Project uses Artificial Intelligence (AI), data analytics and the Internet of Things (IoT), and works with local communities and global organizations to merge social, environmental and economic benefits to positively impact the future of Pollinators, People, and the Planet.
